    Default Gosling Muddler








    This one will get their attention, or send them swimming. Loved the color of the deer hair (we don't get picric on this side of the pond but it does bear a resemblance; wish I remembered where I bought this patch); hated the texture. Ended up having to use a spun loop.


    hook - Mustad 3906 #6
    thread - Danville 6/0 light olive
    tail - pheasant tail dyed hot yellow (1TBS Rit Lemon Yellow, 1/2 cup water)
    rib - oval tinsel gold
    body - dubbing hot yellow
    hackle - orange over hot yellow
    overhackle - mallard dyed hot yellow
    head/collar - deer dyed yellow

    First fly on the leader yesterday morning; used it here



    And brought this up




    After an hour and a few more fish, retired it to the drying rack (my hat)

    I do not, sorry. When I get back from my fishing trip in a couple weeks, I'll see if I have all the materials in my travel kit.

    nice fly, love those colors! Would like to make that a bit bigger for pike.
