That’s a beautiful fly. One of your nicest looking ones, among the many you’ve tied and demoed over the years, IMO.

The bleached peacock herl looks like a completely different color from one picture to another, which is undoubtedly due to the angle of the lighting, but I wonder if the trout/fish would also see this fly as distinctly different colors under the water...hmmm?

I have never bleached peacock herl, other than bleaching to strip the herl off peacock eyes. How do you bleach it to leave that much herl on, and get that nice light color?
