    Subbed chopped yarn dubbing (thanks, again, to Doug Korn) for seal.


    hook - Mustad 3906 #8
    thread - Danville 6/0 black
    tail - bronze mallard
    rib - oval tinsel gold
    body - dubbing brown
    hackle - furnace
    wing - bronze mallard

    Yet another great pattern from what has been a beautiful tour of classic wets. This tie looks like it would fish well. Are you using angora for the abdomen or something else?

    Thanks, all. John, I used acrylic yarn, mixed in the coffee grinder; kinda has a look similar to the seal called for in the pattern but is a lot easier to dub with than the angora goat that I have.
