Nobbler (variation) SBS

Another Icelandic take on the Bugger; added the rabbit up front for a bit more action. Weight as desired; left this one light to throw at frustrated stillwater spawners in the shallows.

hook - Dai Riki 700 #4
thread - UTC 140 black
tail - marabou black
flash - Flashabou pearl
butt - chenille chartreuse
rib - small wire silver
front body - chenille black
hackle - hen black
collar - rabbit black
eyes - bead chain stainless

Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in eyes




measure (shank length) some marabou; tie in/trim






tie in flash on either side of tail; fold, wrap to tail






tie in chenille; take 2 wraps, tie off/trim






tie in rib & chenille; wrap chenille forward, tie off/trim

tie in hackle, wrap to butt; capture tip with wire, rib body (not shown)






create thread loop (wax thread), insert zonker strip, trim skin, spin










wrap collar behind/between/in front of eyes, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN, trim flash
