Default the best shallow water crappie fly?

Maybe not, but they sure do like it. It's a weighted black wooly bugger on a size 12 streamer hook. I add just a couple strands of rainbow flash to the tail and two pairs of chartreuse rubber legs about as long as the hackle. The crappies have been pounding these things this spring and last. Also catches bluegills and bass.
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

    Woolly-Buggers catch everything....

My best crappie fly is a Crappie Candy on a #6 hook. I do good with Electric Chicken-colored Clousers, as well.

It's good to be back, everyone. I really missed this place.
