    Default National Park Fees

Looks like you won't have to take out a second mortgage to experience some of our national treasures. I'd like to think it's a case of sanity reigning supreme but I have my doubts; Zinke probably caught a lot of flak from his Montana constituents, who he'll need to woo when he runs for the Senate or Governor in the coming years.
No doubt that Interior needs a cash infusion for park maintenance/repairs (I dare you to tow a trailer from Babb up to Many Glacier at anything over 25mph, plus a lot of braking for ruts/potholes); maybe the Secretary can just caulk that leaky door in his office and put those funds to better use.

perhaps they could stop adding additional properties, get rid of a few that they have added, and pay for the ones they have. There are at least 10 million good ideas the problem is paying for those ideas

Onaccounta I'm old, I paid about $10 for the old folks lifetime pass a few years ago. And, then again, onaccounta I'm old, I forgot to BRING it with me several times. I now have four of them at various fees but I didn't mind paying for the "bang" I get out of their use. I am happy to see, however, the fees didn't rise to the proposed levels which would have made it too expensive for some to visit our National Treasures.
