Went out to pond yesterday. Wind was blowing 20+ mph. Saw one crappie roll onna fly. Never flet any bites.
My besat half says the "SHACK NASTIES" are not as bad as before.

    Hey Rick,
We sorta did that last Fri. Went to Clearlake to the usual haunt and the water dropped 10*. Changed the fish and we only got one. Oh well, kept the kitty away....and you are right, the stress level dropped splendidly. Seeing as the drift boat has wooden motors, we stayed "local" changing lines and retrieves and bugs, to no avail. Was a grand day fishing though.
Got the cabin rented this w/e and expect little water change. Wifey briefly suggested a trip cancel. Of course we nipped THAT in the bud!
Better trips ARE coming, for sure....

I was tempted all weekend despite the 30-40mph winds. Never made it out though; good on ya!
