    Default Straddle Bug SBS

A U.K. stillwater pattern, I think. Made a few changes based on materials at hand but the results are similar.

    hook - Mustad 9671 #8
    thread - Danville 6/0 black
    tag - tinsel gold
    rib - brown thread
    tail - pheasant tail black
    body - Swiss Straw cream
rear hackle - hen dyed orange
    front hackle - woodduck flank
    collar - peacock herl

    Part 1

mash barb, start thread 1 eye width back from eye, wrap to barb

tie in tinsel, wrap down bend and back, tie off/trim

measure (hook length) some pt fibers; tie in/trim

    tie in rib

tie in a strip of Swiss Straw; wrap body to tie in, tie off/trim

    rib body, tie off/trim
