    Default Tying The MFR

    The MFR is a permanent fly in my box and has been for some time. It is in fact "My favorite Rockworm pattern". I like to tie this pattern unweighted and fished with an anchor fly above or by itself with splitshot and dead-drifted. Hope it adds to your box


    MFR Recipe

    Hook: #14 - 16 Caddis Emerger
    Thread: 6/0 Brown
    Abdomen: Grizzly Hackle Quill
    Quill: Brown Marker/UV Epoxy
    Thorax: Fox Squirrel Dubbing
    Head: Black UV-Dub
