    Default What better way to spend an autumn day?

    Took my "new" South Bend #359 8-1/2' and #290 7-1/2' out to test lines on Friday; took 4,5,& 6 weighted reels along. The 359 threw the 6 so well I never bothered with anything else; started the 290 on the 4 and it was OK, but it really woke up on the 5. Blooded both rods on gills...

    Yes,
    Looks like you had a GRAND time. Looks like some fun gear too.
    We sit here this AM in a quandary as do we travel an hour west and do steelhead or do we travel an hour east and do crappie? The crappie will probably win out as we owe a friend some fillets....
