Default Anyone else use Ekich Bobbin Holder?

I recently pulled the trigger on one of the Ekich bobbin holders.

It was quite pricey, but DO find it to be quite a nice and innovative tying tool.

Would like to hear from other users as to their thoughts.

    Thanks!

Yes I have one too and liked it very much. The spring has broken and I cannot use it any longer so I suppose I'll have to send it in for a repair job. It is a very nice tool indeed!

Really glad I did not pay full retail for mine. Like the Norvise bobbins, I found the Ekich to waste more time than it saved. Expensive, difficult to load, and finicky to operate, it is more of a hindrance than a help at the vise, IMHO. YMMV.

Thanks! Glad to hear you like it. Takes a bit of use to get in tune with it.

I have one but I have never used it very much. I prefer a basic bobbin that holds the thread and feeds it out smoothly.

I have 2 and would buy 2 more if funds ever unexpectedly show up. Use them almost exclusively these days with the exception of large streamers. I have had them at least 10 years now and tied thousands of dozens with them and had no issue at all. There is a bit of a learning curve but after the first couple dozed flies you will never look at your old bobbins the same.
