What color chenille and legs would you think would best represent the Pat's Rubber Legs golden stonefly nymph? I'm fishing in Central, PA, if that helps. Always wanted to give them a try.
Thanks

Bruce,
I'd use variegated chenille, brown/yellow or olive/rust for the body and gold Sexi-floss, or whatever your favorite spandex product is, for the legs (you could mark them with a black Sharpie if you like). Charlie Craven has a great SBS for the fly, tied as a western golden stone

While those variegated chenille seem to work well in MT, never had much luck locally with any of those colors. Brown and black with olive brown Superfloss for legs are the two colors that have most consistently produced for me. Typically I also tie them with "fine" chenille as opposed to "medium" (or very fine for small sizes) and found it to be much more effective than the typical tie. YMMV.
Good pattern here in Missouri also.
