Default Ostermann's RUH Drake (variation) SBS

RUH - Real Ungulate Hair; had to change the name since I used elk for the wing and body. Took the basic Carnage framework and draped it with said ungulate hair. Notional tying sequence; body's a bit chunky, a few less tail fibers next time. Tied here as a Fall Drake; change color/size to suit your needs.

    hook ? Dai Riki 135 #12
    thread/rib - UTC 140 tan
    core - 7lb mono
    tail - deer hair
    rib - Uni 6/0 camel
abdomen/wing - yearling elk hair bleached
    hackle - deer hair

    Part 1

make a loop in a piece of mono

mash barb, start thread at mid shank; brush on some Superglue and tie in mono

clean, stack, measure (2x shank) a clump of deer hair; tie in/trim butts

hook the loop onto the gallows; tie in rib, wrap up the body and back to tie-in

clean, stack, measure (shank length +) a clump of elk; 2 soft loops, then pull firmly while holding onto elk, flaring tips while keeping it from spinning
