Orvis Salmon Bamboo and Hardy Zenith Reel
The perfect all weather/all season steelhead combo. Just add line, leader and backing.
9.5', 3/2, 19/13 ferrules, 7 1/4oz in excellent + condition. Right, tight (appropriately), full length and straight. Clean cork and removable fighting butt extension. I think it was probably the last Salmon rod built by Orvis (special order after no longer cataloged) and according to them it was built on 11-6-1973 by Ron White.
GAF (9) recommendation on the rod and tube label. Throws a DT 8 beautifully and balances really well with a Hardy Zenith. This model was labeled a DT8 earlier in it's life by Orvis without any changes in the taper.
Hardy Zenith - nice used shape. Balances this outfit beautifully. Pictures show condition. No mechanical issues. A few light marks from honest use in it's life, not abuse. No case and comes without the backing.
$680 for the combo shipped in lower 48 - possibly more to ship elsewhere.
