    Default Wall-Stacker Emerger SBS



    Tied here as a Callibaetis; change color/size to suit your needs.


    hook ? Dai Riki 125 #14
    thread - MFC 8/0 sand
    tail ? mallard flank
    abdomen ? turkey biot callibaetis
    loop - UTC 140 grey brown
    hackle - grizzly
    thorax - dubbing hare's ear
    wing - mallard flank

    mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap to bend




    measure (shank length) some mallard flank fibers; tie in/trim






    tie in (moistened) biot, notch-side down for ribbed effect; wrap to 2/3 mark, tie off/trim




    tie in loop




    run mallard flank feather thru the folding machine




    measure (shank length); tie in/trim butts

    Part 2


    tie in hackle, hook loop onto gallows




    wrap hackle up loop (thorax length) and down; tie off at base/trim






    stroke hackle fibers back






    dub thread/dub thorax; lift wing up/back and take some wraps at base to set angle






    separate lowest fibers on tip




    pull down/away from stem; trim stem/wing tips

    pull hackle forward, thru wings; tie down
