Found a pic on the interweb; unfortunately no info so I don't know who to credit. Elements of a soft-hackled Stimi, Henryville, Hemingway.
hook ? TMC 5212 #12
thread - MFC 8/0 sand
abdomen ? Zelon dubbing hydropsyche
body hackle - grizzly (undersize by 2)
wing - woodduck flank
thorax - Ice Dub hare's ear
hackle - grizzly/partridge
Part 1
mash barb, start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap to point above barb; tie in hackle
dub thread/dub abdomen (take first wrap behind hackle) to 2/3 mark
wrap hackle; tie off/trim
trim hackle flat on top
measure (gap width past bend) a flank feather (woodduck used here because I had a leftover in the waste bag; use whatever you wish); tie in, pull forward a bit to gather fibers, trim butt
tie in partridge by tip and hackle
