A young man from OH, wanted to try sight-fishing for carp on fly in NE. Went to a Lincoln city park to try. I explained that sight-fishing for carp, is like hunting for deer. Instead of looking for the whole deer, you look for pieces of the deer. The water was high, stained, and the carp were tight to the bank. He hooked, fought & landed 4 common carp by sight-fishing. The roles reversed & he was spotting carp for me at the end of the day. My mission is done.
