Thread: I lost a recipe for AR!

Hybrid View

Question I lost a recipe for AR!

That recipe is for the "Red ***". I plan to go back and really want to tie up some!
After 2 back surgeries and a total knee replacement, I seem to be on the mend. It's
been long and hard, I had given up, but I've been buying both outfits and tying stuff.
If any of you can help, boy howdy, I sure would appreciate you!! Y'all have a blessed week!
    Kind Regards,

WOW! I guess the word A** is now verboten! SORRY! I didn't know, I just spelled it out, auto correct took it out!
I didn't know I was cussin'! Forgive me! I didn't mean to be a bad boy!
    Kind Regards,

Quick interweb search reveals a lot of patterns with that name - does it look like any of these?

    Charlie,

by the picture I'm guessing your looking for kelso's red ***,which I have found to be very effective during the green caddis hatch. the red tag imitates the red egg sack of the adult egg layer. another effective pattern is a green butt, same fly just with a green tag. very effective during the American grannom hatch. the green butt imitates the green egg sack of the egg laying adult.

the white river in Arkansas just experienced a massive green caddis and American grannom hatch.it started in mid February and lasted till the end of april when we started to experience high water. at present bull shoals lake level is elev 692 and change , we were at 649 and change in early april. the white river is now experiencing high flow rates, to the tune of 25,000 cfs of water. wadable water is in the 2,500cfs and less rate. these high flow rates will continue for the for seeable future.
