There are certain patterns that I tie that have proven to be extremely durable. When I use a dubbing brush made with fine copper wire for the bodies and rabbit fur for the tails, it is not uncommon for me to catch well over 100 fish on a single fly and it's still fine to fish with. I avoid using Marabou for the tails because it is so fragile. I much prefer long rabbit fur or even Arctic Fox on larger patterns. It is funny though how some flies have that special Mojo and seem to be much more attractive to fish.
