Very nice fish. Bluegills are some of the most beautiful freshwater fish found in North America. I've been catching some with the belly such a bright orange that it looks like a sunset and spots of bright blue along their sides. They are my favorite fish to flyfish for.

    Hi Ralph,
I hope you are well. Just wondered if you caught those gills on a private pond. I wish I had access to it. Great gill.

Not at all. Its a public park. Open to anybody.

Life is good! Hope it is for you as well.

Easily 50% of the bluegills there go 9+ inches. The biggest in the pics was just a tad over 11".

Good for you Ralph. I'd like to catch a dozen to fillet for my mom. Those are some of the nicest gills I've seen.
