A neat B.C. pattern; found this on the Kalamalka Fly Fishers site. Adjust the body thickness and use it for damsels, dragons and other stuff swimming in stillwaters.


hook - Mustad 9672 #8
thread - Danville 6/0 olive
underbody - non-tox .015
rib - small wire olive
tail/body/underwing - marabou olive
flash - Krystal Flash peacock
overwing - pheasant rump dyed olive


Part 1

cover front 1/2 of hook with non-tox; start thread, cover underbody, tie in rib and wrap to bend






measure (gap width past bend) a marabou feather; tie in






wrap butts forward; tie off/trim




counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread




tie in KF on either side; fold back/tie down
