swirl knot

there was a recent posting about the merits of the Davy knot. I have not seen many inquiries about the swirl knot. I love the simplicity of tying this knot even under the most coldest of weather. Any comments?

That's a nice simple knot, I'm practicing it now, getting ready for my first trip out to the creek as soon as some of this snow melts off and I can get there...
