    Default Wickham's Fancy SBS

Used McPhail's downwing sedge version as the base; swapped in a duck (female redhead used here) back feather for the mallard quill segments, just for a little different look.

Another beautiful fly, with clear and easy to follow pictorial directions. Thanks Scott.

Always loved the look of this classic fly. Used to tie and fish it quite a bit and seemed like it worked well when caddis were emerging. Of course, I mostly fish more modern caddis pupa these days, but I'll bet this would still work.

Why wouldn't it, John? A trout is a trout. And classic flies show them something that hasn't nicked their lips.
