Marc Pettijean uses this Wing type in his CDC Mayfly.
I find this Wing has a good profile.

I'm sure you already have, but if not look at SMHAEN's videos on YouTube. He does beautiful things with CDC for wings.

Yes Joe.......he does.
What intrigues me so much about Pettijean's video is how lifelike the finished fly looks and only has two materials: coq de leon tails, CDC abdomen, CDC wing, and CDC thorax and legs........Pettijean's version has legs of CDC which Smhaen's pattern does not.
