First cast in two and half years

After spending a year wrapping up a career and another getting one house ready to sell and buying another, in a different state, and getting things how we want it, the better half and I got out last Friday and wet lines for the first time in 2 1/2 years. No joy in terms of catching anything, but had a great time on the water.

With several nice trout streams less than an hour away from the homestead, we can see the Great Smoky Mountain N.P. from our deck, our plans are to get out at least twice a month. So nice having that option open again!

You picked a great place to move after retirement. I've hit up the Smokys in the spring for the last several years.
Such a great place.....for fishing or just spending time. I have to admit, I am a little jealous.
