Yesterday started the third major fire close to where I live. The Sand fire in Santa Clarita mid-July, the Pilot fire near Silverwood lake and Lake Arrowhead just barely contained when this monster called Blue cut or Cajon Pass fire started yesterday morning and has already consumed over 30,000 acres. The dryness caused by California's ongoing drought has turned a lot of the State into a tinderbox.
I live to the North and East of these three fires and the prevailing winds blow out of the Southwest or South. That means that we all get smoked out.
I'm asking for prayers for our very overworked firefighters. These people are going from fire to fire with little or no rest. Currently there are thousands of men and women firefighters putting their lives on the line in San Bernardino County and other hot spots.
God bless them all.
