John,
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond back been a bit busy. yes I have been using 2 handed rods since the late 90's for salmon and steelhead. Over the years I have tried many different rods and have settled on a few rods that I use for that type of fishing. unlike some of the people I fish with I believe rods are a tool and each rod has a specific set of river / lake conditions well suited to it. I only use my two handers ( 11' 7 wt , 11' 6" 6 wt , 12' 7 wt , 13'6" 8 wt ) for salmon / steelhead, for regular trout stuff single handed. My first switch rod was actually a custom rod, single handed 10' 6" blank that the builder put a spey grip on. was a great rod for steelhead for a good bit of time. My one issue with the whole two handed craze is that there are just so many lines for a beginner to choose from that they could possibly be turned off by getting the wrong line. I checked out some of your other videos and they are are all quality work and I like your casting approach.
