With an Orvis 101 course under her belt, and an anxious Dad....my oldest was finally able to get on her first fly water. It was her first chance as well to christen her Mary Marbury 6wt Suprefine. She did both in fine fashion in the same place that most of us began...bluegill water. And after catching trout in the Northwest and Alaska, and surf fishing the East Coast with spinning gear.....a New Flyfisher is added to the family.

Congratulations. She's off to a great start...tube, rod and all.

Nothing better than sharing your passion for fly fishing with your son or daughter.

    Ralph,
Congrats. I hope that's her flipper on the right and not a shark! Looks scary.

I hope she enjoys fly fishing.

Now you need to warn her about Kansas Swamp Witches and shiny apples.

    Regards,
    Ed

Don't forget to warn her about Okra.

Glad she was out having fun.

That's great! My daughter is my fishing buddy. She can fish all day (sun up to sundown). My son isn't all that interested. He's not one to sit still for very long.
    Trout don't speak Latin.
