Had one of my better days in years, so that leads me to believe that this could be one of our better seasons for beach snook. That's if the weather cooperates. Looks like some bad weather for the next week. Anyway, went down to the beach the other day and landed 23 snook out of the 30 or so I hooked. Nothing big, but lots of fish. School after school. Largest snook went 24 inches. All were taken on my D.T. Variation. Beach snook is usually best in July and August, so I'm hopeful. There were some larger females which showed interest, but none took the fly. This is my favorite fishing. It's all sight-fishing and very challenging. If you're planning to visit southwest Florida over the next couple of months, you should give this a try. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to help you out and point you in the right direction.
