    heelerdog,

Hey, just be glad that you have the thrill of being able to hook up a big one every now and then, many people don't get that chance very often. I enjoy the take, the initial hook up and the first few seconds of the fight, then I get the fish in as soon as I can to get it released. If it comes off after that first run or jump, so be it, I got my thrill and the fish will be around to give someone else the same thrill down the road.

Thanks for all the advice. I am tickled to death to have even set the hook and generally laugh when they go on their merry way. It would be nice to bring one to the net.

So what's the big deal? "They" won't believe you anyway.
