Some warm days had the local streams on the rise and off the color (not that I planned to stay on this side of the Divide - grouse to attend to) so I headed for cleaner water.
Drive along the south boundary of the park; decent amount of snow (hold some of that back for Summer, okay?)

KGPR was reporting a grassland fire (1000 acres) on the edge of the Bob and darned if it didn't come into view a few minutes later (firefighters got it 60% contained within a couple days and 10" of snow pretty much put it out)

Scored a good site, established base camp and started collecting photons for later use

Word at the shop was nymphs, but the bwo's were starting to come off and there was a chance of finding fish looking up. Headed up to the top to get a handle on the place and check the flows (usually a good spot to wash the skunk off).

Skunk washed (rest of the fish on this water were variations of this specimen, give or take a few inches)

A banner year for these guys; never seen so many

Lots of these, too
