hook - Dai Riki 135 #18
thread - Danville 6/0 olive
shuck - Congo Hair brown
abdomen - biot olive
thorax - dubbing brown
post/wing - Congo Hair dun
hackle - dun

Part 1

mash barb; start thread, tie in CH, fold back and wrap halfway down the bend, trim shuck (gap width)








moisten biot, tie in notch-side down; wrap to point above point, tie off/trim






dub thread, dub rear of thorax






double over a hank of CH to create a loop; tie in




insert loop in gallows, tie in hackle at base

take a few wraps of hackle up and down post; tie off at base and trim






dub rest of thorax






pull post forward; tie off, half hitch x 2, SHHAN, trim post
