The technique's not just for big foam things; works on smaller ones as well. Although tied on a #16, this one sizes more as a #14 but it's easy enough to scale down as needed.

hook - Dai Riki 125 #16
thread - MFC 8/0 rusty brown
core - 6lb mono
tail - hackle fibers ginger
abdomen - 1mm foam rust (actually 2mm foam sliced to 1mm thickness)
wing - Congo Hair white
hackle - ginger (oversize by 1)
