This one's for Steve (stabgnid). Dry version of the Skip Nymph. Bare bones March Brown here; make it as complicated as you like.

hook - Dai Riki 300 #14
thread - Danville 6/0 brown
tail/shellback - pheasant tail
rib - tying thread (doubled)
body - dubbing tan
hackle - grizzly dyed brown

mash barb, start thread, double up tag end and wrap to bend

dub thread/dub body to 2/3 mark

measure some pheasant tail fibers (extend shank length behind the butt); tie in at front of body

pull pheasant down on top of body, spiral rib forward; tie off/trim

tie in hackle and wrap; tie off, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

trim hackle out on underside (or not)

Regards,
Scott
