Last summer I was browsing in the fly fishing section of a Bass Pro Shop and picked up some midge emergers in the lower twenties sizes. They were made with small white foam "wing", a round cylinder of foam which extended from the head of the fly forward beyond the eye, about three-sixteenths of an inch in length and an eigth of an inch thick. The foam is not dense like most foam you find in fly shops and it compresses very easily. I think Umpqua might have supplied them. Anyway, I'd like to get some of this material to tie my own...the fish like them, but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know what this stuff is and where its available?
