Default My son in Patagonia Now

I think it is just amazing......what we can do these days with technology!
My son, who lives in Santiago, Chile, is now on a fishing trip down in Southern Chile in the Patagonia Region with his guide Claudio Ramos.

This is a photo Claudio sent yesterday of my son fishing at the edge of a large waterfall.

Today, they just video chatted with me from the banks of the Rio Simpson which is only a short drive from the guide's home in Coyhaique, Chile.

This photo from his guide today. The report is that he caught over 15 like this one on dries: Beetles (big ones) and/or caddis. Lost 4 big fish that either broke him off or fought their way off. I thought this Rainbow has very interesting colors.

Fishing the Rio Simpson today. Very close to Coyhaique, Chile.

Hey Byron, I see plenty of open water for you in that photo. Nice trout, too. Big shoulders on that rainbow. The area looks like it could be somewhere in the US.

I've gone 3 times with him.
He has been 7 times, I think.

Nice! Living the dream. I saw a show on Patagonia a couple years back. What a beautiful place.
