The Myakka Minnow is a panfish fly that I designed after a particularly frustrating day on the Myakka River. Bass and bluegill were busting tiny minnows, I couldn't solicit a strike. When I got home, I sat down at my desk and started designing a small minnow imitation. The original Myakka Minnow has been tweaked over the years. I tied in on No. 12 or No. 10 nymph hooks. I use
Bodi-Braid by Spirit River for the body. Tail is clipped marabou. I use 3D stick-on eyes and Devcon 2-Ton Epoxy over the body and eyes. Easy to tie and catches fish.

I don't use Clear Cure Goo for a couple of reasons: 1. Very expensive; 2. I can epoxy up to eight flies at a time with Devcon 2-ton Epoxy.
