Decided I better add an aside: I ordered squirrel skins for zonkers, and although there was no mention that they might be, I've had a few delivered that were Cased, ie, dried inside out . . . unexpected, but not a big deal, just soak well and invert

I had been looking for some tanned squirrel skins and checked with Coffin Creek to make sure they were tanned. Some place's when you look at tanned skins you'll see that they're cased but they are tanned. Always good to check first.
