What kind of trout are you fishing for that require an 8-wt. reel?

I am using a Sage 2280 reel for carp. Good reel at a fair price
Have you checked out the Lamson Liquid 3 pack? A reel and two spare spools (plus a case) for 160.
I use the Konic, which these replaced, and love it. The drag is excellent!
