Found this on Matthew Eastham's North Country Angler blog; a takeoff on Stan Headley's Crippled Midge, it's a not quite fully-formed Hacklestacker with partridge added to represent a wing(?). Whatever, it's a cool fly and pretty easy to put together. My apologies on some of the photos; camera wouldn't maintain focus for whatever reason.

hook - Dai Riki 125 #12
thread - Danville 6/0 brown
rib - x-small wire gold
abdomen/thorax - hare's ear dubbing (lean heavily on the guard hairs if your mixing your own)
post - Congo Hair white
hackle - grizzly and partridge

Part 1

mash barb, start thread, tie in wire, wrap halfway down the bend

double over a hank of CH, tie in by tips, wrap to point above barb

dub thread/dub tapered abdomen

counterwrap rib; helicopter end, cover with thread

insert loop into gallows (for those with more manual dexterity than I possess, free-hand, if you prefer); tie in hackle
