abdomen - goose quill barbs
thorax - fluff from the base of a goose quill
wingcase - goose quill
legs - hen hackle dun (Hellekson's pattern used a couple fibers from the wingcase as legs but I couldn't get that to look right, so I switched to hackle)

mash barb, start thread, tie in rib, wrap to point above barb





clean, stack, measure (gap width past bend) some moose body hairs; tie in/trim






tie in a few goose quill barbs; wrap to 2/3 mark; tie off/trim






counterwrap rib; helicopter end, cover with thread
