Looking for a rod builder
As I stated in an earlier post my brother passed and I now have a LOT of rod building tools and parts. I am looking for a builder who might consider trading two rod builds for all the other blanks, half finished rods, equipment and parts. There are two wrappers, one motor which I think is one to apply the finish (I am keeping the dryer motor as I use it for tying flies) and lots of parts - handles - reel seats - guides - etc.
The two rods I want built are:
A two weight Hook & Hackle Xi kit and a blank simply marked "1 wt". I am sure the required components for the 1 wt are in the box of parts. I am not interested in very fancy builds with multi-colored wraps or anything of that ilk. I just want fish-able rods, as I am about 4 hours from the Smokies and would like rods for the teeny brookies there.
If anyone is interested I can take lots of photos and send them to help you decide. Or if in the KY/MO/IL/TN corner of the US (perhaps on your way to the Sowbug Roundup) stop by and I will show them to you.
