    Default Flashback Featherduster Nymph SBS

Some mods to a previous pattern
Again, tied here as a callibaetis; change color/size to suit your needs.

    hook - Mustad 3906B #14
    underbody - non-tox .015 (optional)
    thread - Danville 6/0 brown
    rib - x-small copper wire
    tail - pheasant tail
    flashback - mylar holo copper
    abdomen - ostrich herl tan
    wing case - pheasant tail
    thorax - ostrich herl tan
    legs - partridge

    Part 1

mash barb, wrap shank with non-tox; cover with thread, tie in rib

measure (gap width past bend) some pheasant tail fibers; tie in/trim

    tie in flashback

tie in ostrich, twist, wrap to 2/3 mark; tie off but don't trim

    pull tinsel forward; tie off/trim

counterwrap rib; helicopter end, cover with thread

Nice tie, Scott. This pattern works shockingly well for me unweighted and without flash, but I do like your variant. I tend to use turkey for the wingcase and hen saddle for the legs but those are pretty minor modifications. Not sure if you've had the opportunity to use this pattern during a callibaetis hatch, but it is a very effective pattern when the gulpers are out.
