    Well without the shuck it should be called a "Neff caddis". A gentleman by the name of Sid Neff was tying a caddis as far as I know back in the 60's. Craig Mathews added a z-lon shuck and you have the x-caddis. Byron if you have the book "The Caddis and the Angler" by Leiser and Solomon you will see a fly in there called a Neff hairwing. An x-caddis without a trailing shuck.
