    Found this over on Ward Bean's warmwater site. Supposed to be a bluegill pattern (what fly isn't a bluegill pattern?); looks like it could work elsewhere, too.


    hook - Dai Riki 280 #10
    underbody - non-tox .025 (optional)
    thread - Danville 6/0 brown
    tail - pheasant rump
    rib - x-small wire copper
    body - peacock herl
    wing - pheasant rump
    hackle - Indian hen

    Nice tie Scott! Nice easy pattern, would be a good one for teaching new tiers.

    Switched to salmon iron, added a gold tinsel tag, swapped the hen hackle with pheasant rump - and it's pretty much a Carey Special
