Well, I finally got out again. The trip did not start well as when I went to drop anchor, it did what a good anchor should do - sink. Unfortunately the line had come undone and bye bye anchor. There was just enough wind to keep me paddling and paddling on a steady basis, but I figured I'm out, let's try. After putting down the spinning rod, I took up the 6 wt that I had not fished in a long time. Won't be long before it gets used again! I tied on an olive wooly bugger. Good thing as I dropped the nippers somewhere underneath me! Note to self, secure nippers and forceps better! That fly took 1 yellow perch, 4 palm sized bluegill, feisty little buggahs, and 3 calico bass.
Finally got tired of the wind and sailed home. Good thing the WB worked as I had no way of removing it short of my teeth! Got to shore and looked under the seat, there are the nippers!
I'll be going back soon!
