Called the Sasquatch on a NZ site; renamed it here to avoid confusion with Nick Granato's most excellent streamer. What it lacks in looks, it makes up for in simplicity.


hook - Dai Riki 280 #10
thread - UTC 140 tan
tail - marabou tan
body - mule deer hair
hackle - ginger


Part 1

mash barb, start thread at hook point and wrap to barb




measure (shank length) some marabou; tie in/trim butts






clean a clump of deer hair, trim butts; tie in with 2 soft loops (let butts extend back about gap width)






pull it tight and let it spin




move the thread forward to the 3/4 mark

pull the deer hair forward; tie down/trim










tie in hackle




wrap hackle, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN (brush the body with Flexament/Goop/whatever vinyl cement you prefer to keep the body somewhat intact)
