    Question Help needed

Has anyone ever heard of a streamer called the Orange Blossom Special?
It was bought at a Big Y shop. The claim is that it was good on smallmouths.

I'd like a pattern description. Thanks.

Larry look deeper, the following is from the last link.

    Hook: Mustad 3906B #12
    Thread: Uni 6/0 Black
    Tail: Golden Pheasant Tippet
    Body: Orange S-Lon
    Rib: Small Uni French Gold
Wing: Orange S-Lon & White Antron
    Hackle: Orange Grizzle Hackle

Step 1. Run on thread and lay down a good base from the eye to just behind the hook point.

Step 2. Catch in 4-6 Golden Pheasant Tippet fibres for the tail.

Step 3. Catch in a piece of both the Uni French & the orange S-Lon

Step 4. Wrap the S-Lon up the hook shank in even turns leaving the excess in place

Step 5. Counter wrap the ribbing & trim off the excess. Fold the excess body material back to form the first part of the wing and trim to the desired length.

Step 6. Catch in a piece of Antron to form the second layer of the wing.

Step 7. Remove the fibre from one side of a hackle feather and catch it in.

Step 8. Make 3 - 4 wraps of the hackle feather, tie it down and trim the excess. Whip finish a head.

It's the one in the Orvis link. Sure it will work well on Smallies, but there are a ton of others that will work just as well. Maybe try a rusty brown wooly bugger with yellow or orange hackle too.

Biggest smaller I have brought to hand (18") caught on a very similar tie. Didn't know what to call it after tying, just fished it!
