Default Need suggestions fo rappropriate hook

I am going to tie a dragonfly pattern that will be used for bass but I would also like to test it on trout as well maybe in a smaller version. I am asking for suggestions on brand, type and size. Obviously the bass hook should be more substantial than the hook for trout but because of the extended body of the fly, I am not sure how to keep the hook in proportion to the body. Would appreciate hearing all suggestions.

Personally, I'd just use the same hook as you would for bass, just in a smaller size. No reason why you would have to change hook styles altogether. What hook were you planning on using for bass? Something cheap like a Mustad 3366 or more purpose-built like the Gamakatsu B10S? You neglected to mention if this is a dry or a wet as well...

For extended body dry flies, I like curved-shank hooks; either a Dai Riki 280 (both of these are #6)

or a Dai Riki 135 scud hook (#8 here)
