    Default Another fire in Glacier NP

    Thompson Creek Fire.



    Took this while crossing the viaduct in Whitefish; first thought was they'd nuked West Glacier. Pretty impressive smoke plume, considering it's over 40 miles away. Fire grew from less than 100 acres to 1900 in a day; hot weather/high winds/no rain are a bad combination.
